Maybe there aren’t any grandeur changes happening to 2018 Audi S5 but you can be sure that this ride still has the power and the magical appeal. There is no doubt that it is super sleek and elegant – with the touch of important technologies and features that will only improve the comfort and driving enjoyment. Of course, there are also subtle changes happening to the new S5 while retaining the classic signature of the appeal and the elegance of its class.
When you compare the old S5 with the new one, you will see the changes. In the old design, the car was somewhat subtle but lovely and artistic. The manual transmission made it fun and easy to drive although the car itself was easy to control with a good handle without such a transmission. The old design was somewhat elegant but not too much that makes it flamboyant.
With the new 2018 S5, on the other hand, the design is somewhat aggressive. Although Audi may claim that the new design is somewhat better, some auto enthusiasts have a different idea. Sure, the new design may be suitable for the new modern setting but it doesn’t flair the elegance as the old one – which is too bad.
So, what can you expect from the new line, after all? As it was mentioned before, the new ride is somewhat aggressive – as it is pretty obvious from the squat shield grille and how the furrowed hood is stretched down under. There is also exaggerated character line on the side with wavy crease for manufacturing purpose. The new 2018 Audi S5 also houses LED 3D taillights that are claimed to improve the look and aesthetic appeal of the car.
More techs and features are included in the cabin, as the additional parts for the improved plush and comfort. With the surround 3D sound system and TFT instrument cluster, Audi expects their fans to enjoy the ride. There is also 4G/LTE connection for a better entertainment and digital functionality inside the cabin.
The new model will be using the V6 twin turbocharged engine with 3.0 liter, replacing the supercharged one. As the result, it delivers 354 hp of power – which bears 21 hp increase from the old one. With automatic eight speed transmission, the driving performance is just crisper. Unfortunately, don’t expect the manual system for this 2018 Audi S5.
