If you are looking for a family crossover that doesn’t look exactly the same as the common and standard crossover, you should consider the 2018 Audi SQ5. Such a ride accommodate a good combination between power, design, and performance. During the 2017 Detroit Motor Show, Audi isn’t only introducing the Q8 concept ride but also the SQ5, which is claimed to be a family crossover hiding all the good features and power of a high-end and sophisticated sports car. So, what’s the next plan?

Engine

The overall design and construction of the SQ5 is made from the platform of second gen Q5 which was introduced last year at Paris Auto Show. The new 2018 Audi SQ5 won’t be coming with the TFSI 2.0 liter engine as the standard powertrain. Instead, Audi will be using the V6 turbocharged engine with 3.0 liter capacity that is delivering 354 hp of power, paired with automatic eight speed transmission and all four wheel driving system. There is also the sport tuning all wheel Quattro all wheel driving system.

This crossover enables SQ5 to reach 60 mph within 5.1 seconds. With the combination of good (and bigger) brakes with updated suspension technology, the power remains controlled with easy handle even when you are speeding up. And when you pair it up with the full body construction, the ride stays stable and glued to the road despite the high speed.

Design

A lot of buyers say that they like the optional sport S package with its rear trick differential and adaptive air suspension.  It also includes dynamic steering which makes the steering wheel lighter during slow movement but heavier during speedy setting to improve response and stability. Sounds like a smart arrangement, right?

With gray grille packed with gray mirrors, aluminum inserts, and roof mounted spoiler (not to mention also the allow wheels), the new 2018 Audi SQ5 looks sporty and yet elegant. For the interior cabin, besides the increased comfort and luxury of the cabin, you can also expect improved features. Brushed aluminum trim located on the center console, dashboard, and door panels are just the example of how the ride look smashing and elegant.

Safety features and driving assistance technologies will be available for the new SQ5, including the stop-go function, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assistance technology. The latter includes steering guidance, braking, and acceleration automatically, making the 2018 Audi SQ5 not only stylish but also safe.
