The 2018 Cadillac XTS acts like a reminder for those who have forgotten the lines. A lot of people have mistakenly thought that Caddy has discontinued the line, simply because they haven’t seen it for a while. However, Caddy has no intention of doing such thing. The reason for them not coming with the new design of the XTS is simply because they have been busy with the development of the CTS and the CT6. So, does Caddy have plans for the XTS? And what are they going to do with the new ride?
It is a good thing that Cadillac is thinking about the new development of the XTS. If they have been dormant for a longer time, it is possible that people will think that the line has extinct from the industry. A few months ago, production has started and it is a good news that the company will do a refreshment for the line. According to the company’s plan, the design will stay for the 2020 production until they finally come with a thoroughly new model. Until then, they will still use the Epsilon II platform that has been used for a while.
If you take a look at the image, you can see how stylish and good looking the overall design and construction is. Some people, though, have a more positive note saying that this is a good revision for Cadillac. It also means that they can still in the market with the rear wheel driving system without completely discontinuing the line.
If goes as planned, the new 2018 Cadillac XTS will be coming in 2017, the first or second quarter, followed by the production stage. By the end of 2017, it should be available at dealerships. For the new XTS, a revised appearance as well as improved interior and engine will be included in the package.
The new 2018 Cadillac XTS has been known as the luxury full size sedan with its buff and big dimension. Caddy has taken the CT6 design for inspiration but they have done some tweaks to make it a little bit different. For this line, it will be coming with either V6 2.0 liter engine (delivering 272 hp of power) or the V6 3.6 liter type (delivering 335 hp of power). Caddy is hoping that the 272 hp can be tweaked to 280 hp while the 335 hp can be tweaked to 410 hp for this 2018 Cadillac XTS.
