The new 2018 Camry will definitely deal with some of the tough competitors in the industry. Big names like Sonata (Hyundai), Passat (VW), Legacy (Subaru), Optima (Kia), Accord (Honda), Malibu (Chevy), 6 (Mazda), Fusion (Ford), and Altima (Nissan) will be the strongest competitor for Camry but it won’t stop Toyota from making new innovation and development. So, what to expect from the new Camry, anyway?
2018 Camry Updates
Toyota isn’t taking too much chance in the performance and design of the new Camry. Yes, they DO make the mid-size sedan look different – sportier and more aggressive with the more athletic construction – but they don’t entirely change the construction. They want to play it safe – coming with some of the changes that will make the car somehow look different and yet still have the same taste and feel. And the new 2018 Camry is the proof of the company’s intention.
2018 Camry Exterior Design
Debuted during the Detroit Motor Show 2017, the new Honda comes with sleeker lines and curves. The chassis design promises a better and more dynamic driving ability while the sheetmetal is definitely more good looking. For an overall construction, the new Camry is curvier, wider, and lower with more athletic profile and sleeker appearance. The new design will also be accompanied by the new logo.
There will be a slight difference for the styling as the XSE and SE will be somehow more appealing and stand out when compared to the other lines of 2018 Camry. They will get better rocker panels and mesh grille insert as well as more aggressive rear lip spoiler and bumpers. The XSE will be different from the SE, thanks to the alloy wheels 19 inch black finish.
2018 Camry Interior Cabin
Changes will also happen in the interior cabin with improvement on the comfort and also style. The layout will remain intuitive and practical but there is a sense of artistic placement and visual appeal. The front seats will be more supportive and comfortable and higher grade materials will be included in the door trim, center console, and also the dashboard.
2018 Camry Engine
A four cylinder 2.5 liter engine with auto eight speed transmission will be used in the base trim. Further powertrain is still on the way and Toyota hasn’t really decided which arrangement they prefer. There is a possibility of hybrid power. The new 2018 Camry should start selling this summer with the predicted price around $23,000 or $24,000.
