2018 Chevy Silverado: The New Construction

Chevrolet is expecting their midsize truck production to be as good as their muscle ride, especially with the release of the new 2018 Chevy Silverado. Sure, Chevy may be able to handle some of their best and legendary rides but you have to admit that their league may not be in the truck section – which makes the Silverado far behind when compared to the other lines.

2018 Silverado Problem

The biggest problem that Chevy has to deal with their Silverado is the fact that their truck lines aren’t as impressive as expected. When compared to the RAM 1500 or F-150, the Silverado is still way behind. That’s why they have been trying so hard to catch up, hoping that the new 2018 Chevy Silverado will be the upcoming promising truck – at least, decent enough to compete against the other trucks.

The company finally decided that they are going to change the tide by improving their Silverado with a refreshed look. The action may be rushy but it’s the only chance they have if they want to compete against the RAM and F-150. Rumor has it, though, that instead of having a refreshed look, the new Silverado will be completely new. The new Silverado will be coming with lighter material with more new technologies. The result? You can expect a better, more powerful, and more efficient machine that can compete against Ford and RAM

New Designs

It is too bad that talking about the design is way too early because there hasn’t been any official confirmation about the overall design. But expect improved and even new look on the exterior and also interior of the 2018 Chevy Silverado. The lines, curves, and silhouette are expected to be different while you can expect more accents on the dash, along with better infotainment system and newer instrument cluster for the cabin.

For the machine, Silverado has to do something to compete against the EcoBoost technology from Ford. Some say that having a diesel engine may not be possible for this model but it is likely that a V6 twin turbocharged engine with 3.0 or 3.6 liter capacity is on the way. The company is targeting power in between 300 hp and 420 hp, and they are looking for a handy replacement for the V8. With automatic ten speed transmission, the new 2018 Chevy Silverado should be more promising.
