2018 Ford Explorer: All the Good Things that Change

There should be some changes expected for the new 2018 Ford Explorer, considering that the SUV has been around for a while and it is high time for a cosmetic upgrade. There are some good reasons why Explorer will have to do some changes to their designs. For a starter, they should start thinking about the added feature for safety, emergency brake, and others just for a starter. And not mention that Ford has to deal with a lot of competitors with just as good products – as good as the Explorer. And the fact that most customers prefer the more compact and smaller vehicle is just the icing on top of the cake. That’s why Explorer is left with some of the good decision for the change.

The 2018 Ford Explorer will be coming with more engine configuration and options, more features, improved comfort, a slight cosmetic update, and also a better luxury feel. The safety features will be the main focus of the changes.

The changes happening to 2018 Ford Explorer includes the headlamps, wheel design, taillamps, grille, and the colors in the interior cabin. It is possible that Ford is adding new trim option and add some touches to the mix. The same thing happened to the 2017 model with the addition of Sport XLT Appearance Package with the 20 inch wheels Gray Magnetic and dark accents on the inside. For the 2018 model, Ford won’t change the seating arrangement or the spacious factor that allows this SUV to accommodate 7 people.

Rumor has it that Ford will not have any plan for the engine configuration. They, after all, have been confident enough with their arrangement that has been proven good all these years. With sport suspension and low profile tires are good enough to absorb bumps. The SUV will be coming with V6 3.5 liter engine that is producing 290 hp of power for the Base trim, as well as the XLT and Limited. It is also possible to have the four cylinder turbocharged 2.3 liter engine that is delivering 280 hp of power. The Platinum and Sport model will likely come with V6 twin turbo 3.5 liter engine that is producing 365 hp of power. All these engines will be paired with auto six speed transmission.
