There have been rumors about the upcoming 2018 Jeep Wrangler redesign and the rumors have been confirmed by Jeep Wrangler community. Yes, the new Wrangler will be coming with a slight change but it won’t be too drastic or dramatic that will transform the overall construction f the Wrangler – or change the signature style of the vehicle.
Earlier this year, the auto industry has been buzzed with the rumors about the new existence of the so called 2018 Jeep Wrangler redesign. Yes, the vehicle will be coming with updated and refreshed styling but not so much that it will change the overall classic stance of the ride. According to some of the leaked information from the Wrangler hardcore fans community, the new Wrangler may have almost similar design like before but if you take a detailed look, you will be able to see that there are some small and yet significant changes happening especially on the exterior side. The new generation will still retain the boxy shape and the classic aggressive stance but there are slight updates happening to boost performance and power.
The Testing Phase
According to some sources, the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler redesign has been viewed from the testing phase taking place in Michigan, the southeastern area. Although the four door vehicle is under a heavy camo, you can see that there are some changes happening on the exterior area. Some people claim that they have seen the exaggerated bumper or the front end design but many auto experts and enthusiasts suspect that Jeep may have done that in purpose to send different message – a diversion to the real changes happening under the camouflage. If they are doing it, they have done a smart move – and yet, you must be wondering why would the company bother doing such a thing to completely hide the real shape of the new Wrangler?
Jeep hasn’t released any official announcement concerning any powertrain or engine options for their new line but it is possible that the Wrangler will be coming with diesel engine with addition of hybrid option. But the diesel line is predicted to come before 2022 while the hybrid should be available after that. But considering that it is Wrangler from Jeep that we are talking about, you can expect the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler redesign to happen smoothly – resulting in a more promising result.
