There have been increasing anticipation for the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with some leaked information released by the hardcore fans of the ride. Sure, Wrangler and Jeep have existed for years but it would be such a good idea if the company is able to maintain the iconic shape and signature style without compromising performance and function. Besides the fact that there are going to be a refreshed styling for the ride, there should be updates for the mechanical elements.
A Better Next Generation
Based on some of the leaked rendering images, there have been some clearer pictures of what the upcoming new 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited should look like. Although the company hasn’t said anything about their upcoming production although they have entered the testing stage with the heavy camo, some people have taken their own conclusion – resulting in some concluded end for the new Wrangler.
The new Wrangler is no doubt will be coming with changes but not so drastic or extravagant. On the contrary, any changes happening on the exterior design will likely subtle and slight, only adjustment to the already existing platforms. It is highly likely that the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will be coming with redesigned grille, bumper, headlights, and also hood construction. The basic boxy shape will remain, after all, it what makes this style different from the others. But the bumper will be made similar to Hard Rock and Wrangler Recon and there will be new accents of line underneath the window with additional vent right behind the front side fender to improve aerodynamic.
It seems important to keep the iconic shape of the Wrangler but at the same time working on the performance, power, and also features of the ride. It is up to Jeep to execute their planning and production as they should be tweaking the platform and the structure. It is predicted that the ride will be coming with the ladder frame chassis with the traditional sturdy and solid axles. Whether the final outcome will be similar to a pickup or SUV, it is not known up to now.
It seems that Jeep will keep their V6 Pentastar engine, considering that it is pretty promising and reliable all these years. But it is also possible that they are going to add a new line, possibly the V6 turbodiesel engine with 3.0 liter capacity that is delivering 240 hp of power. For now, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited may not have the hybrid power.
