2018 Mustang: The New Promising Strength

Some of the updates and upgrades for the new 2018 Mustang have been set in motion. Rumor has it that Ford is going to ditch the V6 engine but focus on getting new technologies – and most likely other engine arrangement. Will it be as powerful as before? Ford promises that it will be even faster and more promising than before.

Mustang has always used two engine configurations between 1987 and 1993; with four cylinder 2.3 liter engine or a V8 5.0 liter engine. There has never been an option for the six cylinder engine. But it seems that everything is going to change with the production of the new 2018 Mustang. Ford has decided that they are going to ditch the V6 3.7 liter engine and use two other alternatives: the four cylinder turbocharged 2.3 liter engine and the V8 Coyote 5.0 liter engine. Because of this arrangement, Ford is sure that Mustang will be coming with higher speed and better performance – even much better than 25 years ago. It is said that Ford is working on the tweak so the new Mustang will be coming with 310 hp of power, which should be coming closer to the power produced by Focus RS with its 350 hp of power.

Ford is also changing the GT’s line with its V8 5.0 liter engine. They will incorporate direct injection system and new fuel system so the revs will be higher. The dual pipe unit (the current model) will be replaced by the quad pipe system. The engines have been paired with two options: either with the standard manual six speed transmission that has been upgraded or the new (but optional) auto 10 speed transmission.

Performance package will be a part of the change happening to the new 2018 Mustang. It will come with the rear wing or the big picnic table. The changes on the front fascia will be inspired from the supercar Ford GT. There are also changes on the LED taillights and headlights.

Release Date and Price

Ford has planned that their new 2018 model should be available at dealerships starting this fall. The price for the four cylinder base model is likely to stay around $27,000 while the GT’s model with its V8 engine may be coming with the price of $35,000 or $36,000. We should expect and wait for more updates about 2018 Mustang.
