2018 Subaru Crosstrek and the Minor Tweaks

What to expect from the new 2018 Subaru Crosstrek? Well, it is a funny thing that the new and real design have finally been available. After Subaru had introduced the Impreza hatchback and sedan last year, it is finally revealed that their so-called Crosstrek (or as the European call it the XV) is actually the Impreza hatchback with a redesigned lift kit. And the design for the new Crosstrek has finally come to the surface.

Redesigned

The Crosstrek was first introduced in 2012 and the ride hasn’t gotten any grandeur changes ever since. Of course, you can’t really expect a completely different or drastic change because it will be coming with similar platform as the Impreza hatchback. The new 2018 Subaru Crosstrek will be taller, for sure, with some additional elements for the wheels and also lower areas of the fascia. The new design won’t be as boxy as the previous design and there will be a new color option for it. The Gray Cool Khaki will be the latest color option for the ride, available for the exterior area.

Interior Comfort

Changes will also happen on the interior cabin with better and more premium materials. The dashboard will be coming with better arrangement where center console will also improve. Expect a new arrangement for the infotainment system and the touchscreen feature, including the new redesigned steering wheel and new stitch within the instrument panel. Expect additional technologies and features, such as the electronic parking brake, to be included in the new development.

Engine

Not only the powertain will be getting improvements for the new model, the exterior appearance will be as good too. If you take a look at the design, you will see the solid stance and muscular construction.

The new 2018 Subaru Crosstrek will be running on four cylinder engine that is delivering 154 hp of power which can create an impressive power when it is paired up with the all wheel driving system as the standard. It will also come with X-mode that will boost the all wheel driving system and the pedal input so it can tackle any slippery surface easily and effortlessly.

Updates

The Crosstrek will receive different updates based on the location. So far, the release date and price haven’t been available but we should know more when the new 2018 Subaru Crosstrek is debuted during the New York Motor Show.
