Not only the new 2018 Toyota Sequoia will get a new trim – the TRD Sports – but such an addition will also happen to the Tundra. It seems that both of them will get the same updated looks and the updated trim options that will go along hand by hand together.
It is interesting how both of the lines are often going together in developments as well as in the launch. Sure, the full size SUV Sequoia was first launched in 2008 while the pickup Tundra was launched in 2014, but their developments have been happening hand in hand since then. And for the 2018 model, there have been an additional trim option, the TRD Sport, for both of them – with Toyota introducing them during Chicago international Motor Show.
What happens for the 2018 Toyota Sequoia, anyway? Just like Tundra, it gets some updated styles and features. Tundra will get a new grille mesh insert with redesigned LED headlights and daytime running lights. For the Sequoia, it gets redesigned daytime and headlights, unique grille insert, new center console, and also new redesigned cluster gauge, complete with the Multi Info Display screen.
For the new 2018 Toyota Sequoia, it seems that safety features will also improve with the TSS-P (Toyota Safety Sense P) that includes pedestrian detection, radar based cruise control, auto high beam, lane departure warning, and such thing alike. And what about the TRD Sports line? It is possible that the trim will be coming with four wheel driving system or the two wheel type.
For the new Sequoia, the SUV will be coming with V8 iForce engine with 5.7 liter engine that delivers 381 hp of power and 401 Nm of torque. When such a power is combined with the anti roll bars (on the front and back) and also TRD Sport shock, the result is sturdy and impressive outcome.
Some of the changes happening on the exterior of the Sequoia will include new front side bumper and grille, 20 inch wheel s from alloy, glossy black caps for the mirror, smoked taillights, and new badge. For the interior, it will include TRD guards on the doorsill, shift knob, and floor mats. The TRD Sport for Sequoia will be available in Gray Magnetic, White Super, and Black Midnight Metallic. So, ready for the refreshing updates for the new 2018 Toyota Sequoia?
