What comes to mind when you see the image concept for 2019 Nissan Altima? A futuristic vehicle? A sporty sedan with futuristic touch? A super attractive vehicle? There are a lot of different opinions and feedbacks for the new Altima. After all, Nissan wants to create something elegant and attractive without a slight touch of technology. But will the new Altima comes just as exactly as expected like the concept? No one can give you any guarantee on that.
2019 Nissan Altima New Generation
Nissan has shown their upcoming concept for the 2019 Nissan Altima which was shown back then in January. The company decided that they are going to release the mid size model with a slight touch of futuristic technology. If everything goes as planned, this new Altima would be available as the 2019 model, launched by the end of 2018. It would be the sixth generation within Altima line.
When shown back then in January during Detroit International Motor Show, the 2019 Nissan Altima comes in the concept Vmotion 2.0 vehicle. As you can see from the model, this new Altima has all the sophisticated elements, right to the silver hue.
According to Nissan, they have gone through production stages and they have included some of the elements (right from the concept vehicle). If you expect the floating roof, V shape grille, and the angular headlights, it is highly likely that you can expect the same thing in real life.
2019 Nissan Altima Overall Design
You know how glamorous and luxurious the exterior design is, so what about the interior cabin? It is a good thing that Nissan is generous enough to provide some shots revealing the interior cabin. There will be instrument cluster with a digital screen on it. There is definitely a bigger screen on the top area of the center console.
Nissan hasn’t said anything conclusive about the final outcome but it is a good thing that they are still going to have some physical knobs for some features, such as temperature control and volume knob.
2019 Nissan Altima Engine
Again, Nissan hasn’t said much about the details of the 2019 Nissan Altima powertrain and such thing alike but it is highly likely that this sector won’t change much – at least not from the current Altima. It seems that the CVT will remain. The front wheel driving system will be the standard feature while the all wheel driving system will be included as an optional pick.
Will the current V6 engine will be used for the next 2019 model? Maybe not. It is possible that Nissan is thinking about a standard four cylinder engine, while a four cylinder turbocharged unit will be the stronger option. If they are going to release the hybrid variant, it is possible with the four cylinder unit matched with electric motor.
Considering that Altima is dealing with heavy competitors like Camry (Toyota), Optima (Kia), Liberty (Subaru), Fusion (Ford), and Sonata (Hyundai), it is super important that they are serious about the production and development of 2019 Nissan Altima.
